Finca El Puente, the family project of Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera, grows specialty coffee. The husband and wife team lives and cultivates coffee together since 1996. Marysabel has coffee in her blood – her family has been growing it for four generations, ever since 1907. Moises entered the world of coffee as an employee of a Guatemalan coffee exporter. He visited Honduras in 1992 and bought a land with ideal conditions to produce high quality coffee. The joint efforts of Marysabel and Moises and the continuation of traditions have led them to the highest result – first place in Cup of Excellence Honduras three years ago. They are also very much involved in sharing their success and developing the local community. The soil, climate, and conditions in Honduras are the same as those of Guatemala, Nicaragua, or Costa Rica. Today, Honduras is the biggest coffee exporter in Central America, the third largest producer in Latin America after Brazil and Colombia and the sixth in the world in coffee exports measured by volume. In 2019, we have offered you 4 coffees from Finca El Pente. In 2020, we were so impressed by the farm’s annual production, that we had the pleasure to include 10 lots in our catalog.
